June Favorites

June Favorites

I have found so many new loves this Month! To start off with my June favorites is one I previously mentioned in my skincare routine. It is the GlamGlow super mud. I love this! I put this on whilst in the bath or after a shower and leave it on for about 20 minutes then wash it off and my face feels and looks amazing. The morning after using this any blemishes that were developing have come up and are nearly healed. Its now a staple product in my skincare routine! I purchased mine in Brown Thomas for €51.00

Another skincare product I have been using a lot this month is the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. I sometimes leave this on for about 10minutes as a mask or just wash my face with it and use a muslin cloth to remove. It smells so beautiful and I feel i've had a facial everytime I use it. I bought this in Arnotts for €45.00 back in December and still have loads left, It lasts so long and is so worth the money.

As I am as pale as pale can get I love to be tanned and bronze. I'm constantly searching for the perfect bronzer and this month I finally went out and bought the SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL, Bronzing Makeup Base. This was €39.00 In Brown Thomas. Its so gorgeous and you can either use it to lightly bronze all over the face or do a heavier contour with it. Its super buildable and gorgeous. Its a cream product and I love applying this with the Real Techniques contour brush or the Real Techniques Buffing brush to get a gorgeous even finish and application.

The next is such a must have for me and i have gone through 2 already this month. That is Carmex lip balm. I get the driest lips in the world so this is such a must have for me! Its super cheap and the best lip balm i've tried so far. There is not much I can say about this one other than it's an essential!

This is such an oldie but such a goodie. It is Mac Modesty Lipstick. This is my Favorite Mac lipstick, no matter what one I buy I always go back to this. Lips have become such a huge trend since the whole Kylie Jenner epidemic. I never hear anyone raving about this Lipstick. It is gorgeous with Mac Spice or Soar Lipliner.

This is the best Makeup brush i've ever used, It can be used for Blush, Powder, Bronzer, Highlighter, Contour, Foundation...The list goes on. It is the Real Techniques Blush Brush. It was created by Pixiwoo on Youtube, otherwise known as Sam & Nic Chapman. The Real Techniques are just great better then any high end makeup brushes i've tried yet. As they are synthetic they can be used to apply cream or powder products and are non shed. They are super cheap so they won't break the bank. I bought mine in Boots for €12.99

This product is by the Irish blogger and Youtuber Suzanne Jackson, SoSueMe. Its her new gel nail polish line 'SoSu', Didn't really know what to expect from this range but I adore it. I purchased the shade Rock Candy. There is such a gorgeous selection of colours for such an affordable price. I am so so impressed. I feel like i've just been to the salon the standard is so good! I bought mine in my local pharmacy for €7.99 and is so much better than my usual nail polish go to O.P.I. This is definitely my number one favorite of June

Now onto my Non Beauty favorites of this month!

My favorite TV Show of this month has been Big Brother! Loving it so much, I'm hooked. If anyone else watches it let me know what you think!

My favorite Youtube channel is DramaticMac.
She is an Irish Beauty Guru from Ireland and she is great! She seems like a lovely girl and is too good at makeup and gives great tips! Definitely Check her out!

Hope you all had a lovely June and have been enjoying the gorgeous weather!

Drugstore Skincare Must Haves

DrugStore Skincare Must Haves

The amount of people I know that don't have any skincare routine and just use makeup wipes. The difference I have seen in my skin the last year since I adapted a routine day and night and found the best products for me. You dont have to have expensive Skincare products to see a difference. The products I have included are tried and tested and are great. Everything i have included is all for under €20!

First off, My favorite Makeup remover (Instead of using wipes!!) Is the Garnier Micellar water. I love this stuff! There is no harsh smells off it and it's very gentle on the skin. I simple just pour a few drops of this onto a cotton pad and remove my eye makeup then lipstick and finally the rest of my face makeup. I like to do this step to just remove the bulk of my makeup before using a cleanser. This stuff is super cheap and is so widely available! Ditch the makeup wipes and purchase a bottle of this stuff! You won't regret it.

Next thing I like to do is use a cleanser. I personally like using a cleanser that requires water as I feel I get a thorough clean after using it. One I love is the Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Face Mask. This stuff is great you can either wet your face, rub a pea size amount gently all over your face and neck and wash of with warm water or, wet your face and rub a pea size amount all over and leave for about 10/15 minutes as a face mask then wash off! If you're getting into a bath or just want to have an at home pamper evening this is a must have! I bought mine in Boots for only €5.49! Its so great and leaves your skin feeling super clean and refreshed.

After cleansing I like to use a toner to just remove any makeup or dirt left behind as well as to just gently exfoliate. A great one i've used for years is the Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Facial Toner. I love simple skincare. I have super sensitive skin and it has never irritated it. There's no nasty chemicals in it, no harsh smells and it's very cheap! Toning is a step most people miss out on but I have seen a huge difference since I started toning on a daily basis! I just put a few drops onto a cotton pad and go for one side of my face to the other in a downward motion. Super easy and fast!

Last but not least is Moisturiser. You should get a moisturiser that suits what type of skin you have and what kind of intensity moisturiser you want, etc. There is so many out there so find one that suites you best! One that I love and have gone back to time and time again is Simple Kind to Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser. The name says it all really, Its super rich and hydrating and leaves my skin very fresh! Moisturizing is a step I never miss out on, it makes a huge difference to the appearance of your skin. As well, I have found my makeup application is so much better after I moisturize as it reduces dryness.

Again this is so affordable and you don't need to break the bank to make your skin feel incredible! The secret to great makeup is having perfect skin!! :D

Hope you enjoyed reading my Drugstore Skincare must haves

Charlotte Tilbury Product Review

Charlotte Tilbury Haul/Review

I recently discovered Charlotte Tilbury products and needless to say Ive fallen in love. The products are quite pricey but 100% worth it. They are so long lasting, gorgeous on every skin tone and they don't have an over powering smell. The packaging is also beautiful with Rose gold being a staple colour on most of the products. You can go to a Charlotte Tilbury counter and buy a look. Each look has all the products that go perfect together and look good on every skin tone.

One of the first products from the range I tried was the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. This Product is the most expensive in the range, It costs €90 for a 50ml pot. I didn't actually buy the full size I got a few samples and tested them out over about a week. For those who don't know, Charlotte Tilbury has been in the beauty industry since forever and has worked with the best of the best, and over the years developed her own 'Magic Cream' for all the models whose skin had gone to pot after all the shows during fashion week. The models she used it on called it her magic cream as it did wonders for their skin. And so lo and behold Charlotte's Magic Cream. Its a very intensive moisturiser and leaves your skin very dewy and hydrated. If you have the €90 to spare it's a great buy!

Next thing I tried was the Light Wonder Foundation. With the magic cream underneath this foundation you can look a bit like Edward Cullen, not necessarily a bad thing! Your skin just looks very dewy and fresh. Like the name says, It is Light. It feels like you've nothing on your skin which is amazing. I find this great for days you want a very natural look. It could be built up to a medium coverage, with a thin layer on though it's very like a tinted moisturiser. It gives you a gorgeous complexion and it's so hydrating. It wasn't one of my favourites as I prefer a heavier foundation but for those who like light coverage it would be perfect! It comes in a wide variety of shades and It retails for €42.00.

Another purchase I made was the Cheek to Chic- Swish and Pop Blush in Ecstasy. There is two shades in this blush so you swish the brush around the outside blush and pop the middle colour on your cheeks. It is a very day to day colour. It applies beautifully and leaves a lovely glow! Worth checking out and there is a variety of shades to suit every skin tone! It costs €39.00.

To finish off the complexion side of the products is the very popular Filmstar Bronze and Glow. I adore this, its so compact and suites so many skin tones. There is a sculpt shade for getting those gorgeous cheekbones and to give the face a gorgeous sunkissed glow. There is also the highlight shade which is too die for, Its a champagne shade with flecks of gold throughout. It is so stunning on and its so worth the €65.00. Although it is not cheap it has everything you need to contour and highlight.
Next onto eyes! Im starting with the newest edition to the Charlotte Tilbury collection, Eyes to mesmerise. These little pots of joy are very similar to Mac paintpots. They can be used alone or under eyeshadow or as a base. These are great, very blendable and come in beautiful colours. The only downside to these is that there expiry date is 6 months after opening. For €25 you would hope for a bit more longevity but other then that they are great. The two shades i've tried and loved have been

Mona Lisa

Marie Antoinette

I am very excited about this next one, it is my absolute favorite and I cannot say enough good things about it. It is the luxury palettes. They are too die for!! There is 9 different palettes to choose from my two favorites have been 'The Dolce Vita' and 'The Vintage Vamp' palettes. Each palette contains four shades.
The prime shade, the enhance shade, the smoke shade and finally the pop shade. If you live near a Charlotte Tilbury counter please just go in and have a look at these, they are too die for. I have used these on people with all different skin tones and eye colours and they look incredible. They are €50.00 per palette.

The Dolce Vita

The Vintage Vamp

Another product in the eyes range is the Feline Flick eyeliner. If you love winged eyeliner and find it difficult to achieve, this is your best friend. Its so black, so pigmented, doesn't budge and is SO easy to use. I love love love it and you can too for €29.00.

Full fat lashes is next, This is the only Mascara in the range. It costs €29.00. Its good, but If i'm honest it didn't change the way I do my makeup, I think there is so many mascaras out there that are half the price and do the same job. I wouldnt waste €29.00 on this again. It does the job but just not worth the money.

Last from the eyes range, is the brow lift Three-Way Shape, Lift & Shade Tool. This eyebrow pencil is slightly tapered to go along with the natural shape of your eyebrows. It also has an eyebrow brush and a highlighter included. It comes in 3 shades Grace K, Brooke S and Cara D. I've only had this a week so haven't really used it enough to decide whether I love it or not yet. First impressions are good but for now I still prefer using Mac Charcoal Brown eyeshadow with the Mac 208 angled brow brush to fill in my brows. This product eyebrow pencil is €30.00.

Lastly is lips. I have 3 lips products, Lip cheat lip liner, K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick and Lip lustre lipgloss. The three products come in a huge array of shades. They are very long wearing and easy to apply. The colours I chose are what I like to wear during the day. They are the perfect nude shades!

Lip Cheat: Pillow Talk

€22.00

K.I.S.S.I.N.G: Penelope Pink

€30.00

Lip Lustre: Seduction
€22.00

All in all I am loving Charlotte Tilbury and I can not wait for her to bring out new products so I can try them out!

Hope you enjoyed my second blog post! And found it somewhat helpful :)

Skin Care Routine

SkinCare Routine

I Spent so long never using anything bar makeup wipes to clean my face. Since I started finding what routine worked for me and what made my skin look its best, I haven't looked back. My makeup has applied so much better, my face looks better and my skin has been so much clearer!

My number one life saver is non other than the infamous Clarisonic Mia 2.
This product is incredible, It's a sonic cleanser that cleans your skin 10 times deeper than a set of hands ever will. It's like an electric toothbrush but for your face! Before using this my skin was so dry and sensitive, I've now been using this twice a day for about 7 months and i've noticed a huge difference. For the first few weeks your skin does tend to break out, but not to worry it's just getting all the nasty gunk out and giving your a really deep clean. I bought my Clarisonic for €149.00, It is very pricey but it is very worth it. Do shop around though because I know there is cheaper versions on the market!

The cleansing product I use with my Clarisonic Is the Kiehl's Ultra facial cleanser, I was using an oil with the clarisonic when I first bought it, I then moved onto a cleansing balm and finally moved onto This facial cleanser. I do really like it, It does what it says on the tin. My skin never feels overly dry after using it and my skin always feels so clean after using it. Its foams a little bit when I use it with the clarisonic. I've tried it on its own before and I didn't think it did much. Although I like it, for the price I think there is probably better cleanser's on the market, which i'm yet to find. It retails for €18.00.

Once I have finished cleansing, I exfoliate. Instead of using a beaded exfoliator that is very harsh on your skin and in fact spreads bacteria, I opt for a chemical exfoliator. I recently started using the Pixi Glow Tonic. Its probably my favorite chemical exfoliator i've tried so far. It has 250ml worth of product, The smell isn't off putting and it's very refreshing and leaves your skin glowing! Id highly recommend it if you're searching for a good chemical exfoliator. I can fault the product except for it's not available in ireland as far as i know, the only way to get it is to order online and it can take a while. Other than that, if you can get your hands on it, it's a must have!! It retails for £18.00/€25.00

Now to my favourite step, Moisturiser! I can not tell you how many moisturisers I have tried and tested and I have finally found the one!! Hallelujah!! For so long i've gone from drugstore to highend and back again and I have found my new holy grail product. The Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief. For all the people out there with dry skin, how good does this sound? I can vouch for it and just say it is amazing. Its so hydrating and just makes my face feel like a babies bottom! Its such a must have. It will set you back €45.00 but it is so so worth it if you are on the hunt for an incredible moisturiser! A little goes a very long way and I don't tend to use products sparingly. Definitely give this one a try for yourself.

Last but not least for my everyday Skincare is a new favorite of mine and it's the Kiehl's Creamy Eye
Treatment with avocado. This is pretty self explanatory it is perfect for hydrating the under eye area, Its very thick and rich but it's so soothing and worth the money. This costs around €22.00 for the 14g pot.

Two little extras I wanted to add in which I don't use everyday but that I am currently Loving are,

The GlamGlow Supermud clearing treatment. Now this product is very pricey, but it is great. Its basically a detoxifying mask That de-clogs and minimises pore size and helps breakouts. Along with many other benefits. It's retails for €51.00. If you can even get your hands on a sample size do! Just give it a try if you're sick of unsightly blackheads and enlarged pores!

And the last little extra I wanted to include, is everyone's favourite Micellar water! I love using this to remove eye makeup and lipstick and face makeup before I deep cleanse or even as a quick alternative if I dont have the time to be very efficient with my skin care. Its super cheap and great and so worth checking out. I've only tried the Garnier Micellar water but I am assuming they are all pretty similar! It is €4.19 in boots!

Hope you enjoyed my first blog post!
